The Inspiration

Discretely Different is handing the description and concept for this brief over to Paul, to give his story.

"Like many thousands of other men I wear a sheath catheter. This is safe and effective as long as the drain tube does not block or kink. Unfortunately, conventional brief underwear gets in the way. It does not allow easy access to the kit and, if you pass the drain tube through your fly, to drop your underpants you have to disconnect it - fiddly and risking contamination, especially in a public loo. The official answer is to wear loose boxer shorts, but I dislike them - they feel baggy, and they offer no support.

After design work and trials, Discretely Different have come up with a brilliant solution. Their "Multiway Briefs" are superbly comfortable and nicely supportive to wear. They look very similar to conventional briefs with a Y-front but they have a wonderful secret: there are adjustable openings to let a catheter drain tube pass either sideways (left or right) to a leg bag at the calf or the thigh, or upwards to a belly bag around the hips. To drop them, you simply undo a popper - the cath is not disturbed. On top of that, they are so constructed that I can open the front flap to adjust or change the cath without having to take my pants completely off. At the end of the day to undress, I simply un-popper the front: no bending down to take them off, nor to put them on. Discretely Different have designed away a real bit of hassle from my life!"

Made from cotton/elastane jersey, which is supportive and comfortable to wear.

Discrete popper fastenings down the centre front of the brief and at the sides of the gusset to allow tubes to exit.

Lined Gusset for added support which is wide enough to take a pad if required.
